This guide highlights selected family-sponsored and employment-based dates in the November 2026 Visa Bulletin, explains the two charts, and lists what to gather for a case review.
The most useful question is specific: which category and country column apply to your case, and which chart governs the action you want to take?
Filing and final approval are different steps
The bulletin publishes two sets of dates. Dates for Filing concern when applicants may begin certain document-submission steps. Final Action Dates concern visa-number availability for final action. For adjustment of status inside the United States, USCIS determines which chart applicants may use each month.
A date becoming available is not an approval. The application still needs to meet the applicable requirements and complete the review process.
A few November reference points
These examples come from the November Final Action Dates charts. They are not a complete summary or an instruction to file.
Category and chargeability column | November Final Action Date |
|---|---|
EB-2 — all chargeability areas except those listed separately | April 1, 2025 |
EB-2 — India | November 1, 2013 |
EB-3 skilled workers/professionals — all chargeability areas except those listed separately | June 15, 2024 |
F4 — all chargeability areas except those listed separately | October 22, 2012 |
Where a cutoff date is listed, the priority date must be earlier than that date. Check your exact category and country column rather than applying a headline about another group to your own case.
What to bring to a case review
Your petition receipt or approval notice showing your category and priority date.
Your current case stage and the latest communication from USCIS, the National Visa Center or a consulate.
Any approaching deadline and any change in your circumstances since your last review.
Ask your legal team to identify the next concrete step: whether documents should be gathered, whether a filing is available, or whether you should continue waiting for an instruction or a later bulletin.
