For certain applications, when you’re applying for your green card, you no longer have to pay USCIS filing fees, for example: Special immigrant juvenile status, violence against Women’s Act (VAWA), T-Visa, U-Visa, asylum, refugee, NACARA, and I-751 based on abuse. Anyone who has a humanitarian case should wait until April 1st to avoid fees. For the majority of cases, such as family petitions and employment, filling fees are increasing to a maximum of 26%.
