Have you considered applying for an O visa to further your career in the United States? Do you believe that you possess extraordinary ability in your field?
It is a short-term, non-immigrant visa designed for individuals with exceptional talent in specific sectors. It offers a pathway for international professionals of extraordinary ability to gain entry into the US.
Who may qualify?
If you are an artist, photographer, filmmaker, athlete, or scientist who can showcase extraordinary skill and expertise, you may meet the criteria for an O visa. Importantly, it is not mandatory to hold a bachelor’s degree or higher – years of experience and a demonstrable impact in your field could suffice.
This type of visa extends to the immediate family members of the primary beneficiary, including a spouse and unmarried children under 21, who can accompany the O-1 visa holder on an O-3 visa. However, family members on an O-3 visa are not permitted to engage in employment in the United States.
