Temporary Protected Status requirements

Continuous Physical Presence
Applicants must have been continuously living in the U.S. since the date the TPS designation began for their country, with no significant absences.

Proof of continuous residence in the U.S. is required, which can include documentation such as utility bills, leases, or other official records showing the applicant has lived in the U.S.
Criminal History
Applicants must not have serious criminal convictions, such as felonies or other offenses that would disqualify them from receiving TPS under U.S. immigration laws.
No Deportation Orders
Applicants must not be subject to deportation orders or removal proceedings that could make them ineligible for TPS. Certain immigration violations may also disqualify an applicant.
