K-1 Visa Requirements
U.S. Citizenship of the Petitioner

The petitioner must be a U.S. citizen, not a permanent resident, to file for the K-1 visa on behalf of their fiancé(e).
Proof of a Genuine Relationship

The couple must provide evidence of a bona fide relationship, such as communication records, photographs, and meeting history.
Intent to Marry Within 90 Days

Both the petitioner and the foreign fiancé(e) must intend to marry within 90 days of the fiancé(e)'s arrival in the U.S.
Legal Ability to Marry

Both partners must be legally free to marry, meaning neither is currently married to someone else or has unresolved legal impediments to marriage.
Meeting in Person

The couple must have met in person at least once within the last two years, though exceptions may apply under certain circumstances (e.g., cultural practices or hardship).
Financial Requirements
